Scott Peters - Creator/Executive Producer
Scott Peters serves as creator, executive producer, writer and director on the fourth season of the USA Network original series THE 4400, which premieres Sunday, June 17 at 9:00PM/8:00PM Central.
Peters is a two-time Emmy Nominee for THE 4400 for Outstanding Writing for a Mini-Series (Pilot Episode) and as executive Producer in the outstanding Mini-Series category. He is also a Writers Guild of Canada Top 10 Awards Winner and two-time Gemini Nominee for Best Writing in a Dramatic Series. Peters is currently in production in Vancouver on the show, directing multiple episodes this year.
Touchstone Television signed a two-script deal with Peters in 2005, where he set up his first project, the pilot script "Revision" at FOX. Peters wrote the pilot and was executive producer, along with Touchstone-based producer Warren Littlefield. The second pilot, entitled "Found", a sweeping drama centering on reincarnation, was set up at ABC in 2007 where it is currently in development as a mini-series. Peters wrote the pilot and is the executive producer along with Warren Littlefield.
In addition Peters has signed a blind directing deal with USA Network and CBS/Paramount Television to direct multiple of television for each company.
Peters co-wrote, co-produced and directed the independent feature comedy "Don: Plain & Tall," starring stand-up comedian Don McMillan in 2003. The film screened in over a dozen film festivals and won Best Feature Comedy at: The Breckenridge Film Festival, The Tiburon Film Festival and The Back East Picture Show Film Festival.
Peters’ other credits include writing, producing and directing multiple episodes of "The Outer Limits" and "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" He wrote the television movie "Lost Souls" and has written multiple episodes of the Fox series "Beyond Belief," "Goosebumps," "Highlander" and "Animorphs." Other writing credits include episodes of "The Famous Jett Jackson," and "Brats of the Lost Nebula."
