THE FRENCH CONNECTION (#SW_107)
EPISODE PREMIERE: November 14, 2008
Kenny, who has sprung into action as the producer on Molly’s movie, calls to tell her Jolie Driver, the powerful talent agent who happens to be Zach's ex-wife, has read Molly’s script and wants to have lunch with them to discuss some of her actresses. Over lunch later that day, Jolie tells Molly and Kenny that she thinks uber-actress Dana Field would be perfect for the lead role. Molly is thrilled until Jolie takes her aside to make sure that Molly wouldn’t feel uncomfortable meeting Dana since Zach’s affair with Dana was what ended his marriage to Jolie. Molly plays it cool in front of Jolie but inside she’s upset: why hadn’t Zach told her that important piece of information when they were swapping war stories about why their marriages broke up? Suddenly, the idea of Dana Field starring in her movie doesn't seem like such a great one to Molly. She is further unsettled when the Maitre D hands Molly an anonymous note saying, “Did you get my message last night?,” which appears to be from the same person who Fed-Exed her a page ripped from her still-missing journal. But whoever has dropped off the note has vanished, leaving the identity of Molly’s stalker unsolved, at least for now. Luckily, the engagement dinner Molly is planning for Lou and his French fiancée, Alizee, for later that evening becomes a welcome distraction.
