WHAT LESSONS HAVE YOU LEARNED FROM THE CONTESTANTS? DO YOU FEEL THEY'VE TAUGHT YOU SOMETHING NEW ABOUT YOURSELF OR COUNTRY MUSIC?
I have learned a lot from the contestants. Actually, what I have learned from them was sort of a refresher course on what I had experienced in some fashion or another in past years.
David and Joshua appear to juggling the love of family and the love of music. Angela is juggling family, music, and the dream of providing a better life for herself and her son. Zac is driven by the desire to be heard and respected.
This is all really exciting for me to watch unfold. The remaining finalists, each have such an interesting story - each of them has grown so much since the beginning of the season.
Their skin has gotten a little thicker as they put their artistry on the line each week, as well. I can see that it is wearing on some more than the others, but they've got to let that go because there are only two weeks left.
I'm also pretty excited about the fact that two of my original fantastic four, who I predicted would be in the running, are still hanging in. None of the contestants know they were in my original four to watch nor will I divulge that here. However, I'm really proud for those still here ... the finish will be a nail-biter.
The hot question in the minds of each of the contestants is: will they be the next Nashville Star? Or will they just be next?
