Meg Allison is a born storyteller and performer. Biding her time between Chicago and Nashville, she is paying her dues as an emerging acoustic artist, touring and honing her craft. Meg's writing has the honesty of country and the catchiness of pop. She writes the melodies that stick, with the lyrics you've lived.
Now with the release of her debut album, "Missing Piece", it appears that Meg is finally being discovered. The album produced by Chris Keup (Jason Mraz, Jonathan Rice) and Stewart Myers (Shawn Colvin, Lifehouse, Rachel Yamagata) has been earning critical praise and her song "Old Soul" recently won Songwriters Universe's "Best Song" competition. She has also showcased at two National Association for Campus Activities (NACA) conferences in front of thousands of students. Fans from New York to Los Angeles and from Omaha to Austin are discovering this rising talent, making a home for Meg Allison on their iPods.

There's life outside of music? I really enjoy taking ME time -- a long drive, walk or hike with no distractions. I like to write in my journal at a coffee shop. I love photographs, taking pictures and making photo-albums. I love finding the perfect greeting card. I could stand in the greeting card isle for hours. I love trashy magazines and singing along to Top 40 radio at the top of my lungs in my car.
What's your pet peeve?
People who only talk about themselves, slow drivers, loud gum chewers, when people use bad grammar.
