Casey performed at many of his hometown school talent shows -- his first public performance was at 6 years old. At the age of 8, he was the entertainment at his first professional rodeo. By the time Casey reached 11 years old, he had decided to become a successful country music artist.
In high school, Casey received the "Gold Music Award," a music honor award in recognition of outstanding contributions and dedication to music. When Casey graduated from Lindale High School, he went full speed ahead with his music career by taking voice, stage, guitar and songwriting. Casey found himself receiving numerous awards as "Male Vocalist of the Year," "Entertainer of the Year" and the International Country Gospel Music Association "Male Horizon" award, while following the Opry lines.
As a music lover of Elvis, country, 50's, Broadway and gospel, his variety shows have been a hit and formed him into a character all his own. From one venue to another, the word of Casey's talent has spread across the land. He found himself opening and singing with professional recording artists from major record labels, fueling his desire to reach the top of the music industry.
FUN FACTS ON CASEY RIVERS
What celebrity do people say you look like?
Occasionally, I have been told that I favor the king of Rock and Roll, the one and only Elvis Presley (the 50's Elvis, I hope). I have been told by several people that I favor Brendan Fraser, although that was before the "soul patch," the little patch of fuzz under my lip. Now I don't know who I look like but all I can say is, Brendan Fraser and Elvis must be some good lookin' men. Just kiddin' -- lookie there, I made a joke!
What's on your playlist?
I love so many different styles of music, from southern gospel to country to heavy metal. There's not much that I don't like as long as it's in good taste. I am huge on good, meaningful, clean lyrics.
One of my favorite in the southern gospel field would be the Gaither Vocal Band (Go David Phelps). My favorite among country artists would have to be folks like Brad Paisley, Joe Nichols, George Strait, Alan Jackson, Martina McBride, Carrie Underwood, Carrie Underwood and many more (also Carrie Underwood).
In heavy metal, I mainly listen to Christian heavy metal. I listen to bands such as 12 Stones, Skillet, Pillar, Kutless, and my favorite would have to be the band 3 Nails (my brother's band).
The craziest or most daring thing I have ever done...
I remember one of the times that I jumped out of an airplane with some buddies of mine. We were right in the middle of one of our aerial stunts and everything was going great, but then the unthinkable happened. Two of my buddies collided, leaving one of them unconscious. With very little time to work with I had to react very quickly, because if I didn't this was going to be the end of my lifelong friend.
I knew that if I didn't do this right, it might be the end of not only my buddy but myself as well. With only seconds remaining, I positioned myself like a human rocket, throwing myself into my friend, I held on as tightly as possible, just in time to pull the cord and get us both safely on the ground and him to a hospital.
I wish all this was true but the truth is, I've never jumped out of a plane and really don't like to fly! I've never really been that daring unless you call popping wheelies on a bike crazy or daring!
What three things couldn't you live without?
OK, I'm going to be very serious on this answer. The three things I couldn't live without are, no doubt, God, family, and friends. All three of these deal with a common thing and that is love. I have a great love for, first of all God and it is God that has allowed me and provided me the love I have for family and friends. God's word says, "And these three remain, faith, hope, and love, and the greatest of these is love."
