FOR THE WEEK OF August 22, 2008
Hello, my name is Angela and I am completely hooked on Monk. It all started when a good friend of mine told me I resembled the personality of Natalie in the television series Monk. I had no clue what the show was all about but saw it advertised a few times.
So, I decided to see for myself and record one of the episodes... big mistake. I ended up recording the Vegas episode and it was absolutely amazing. After that one episode, I found myself watching it everyday from 1 to 3pm. Since they don't air on weekends for me, I had to ask for the DVD sets. I ended up getting seasons one through four and season six. I'm hoping to get season five as soon as possible, there are a couple of episodes I have yet to see!
I guess I went absolutely crazy for Adrian, he is now my wallpaper for my cell phone and he's all over my MySpace page. I'm so glad I do resemble Natalie's personality or I would have never been convinced to watch Monk. I can't describe how much I enjoy it, I even got a couple of my friends into it. In fact, we had a Monkathon just the other night.
We can all relate to Adrian because not one person is completely free from phobias. This is one reason that got me so hooked. Still today, this is the only television show I will watch. If I ever get big into reading I will purchase the books.
Well, there are too many great episodes to choose from, but I will have to pick 'Mr. Monk Can't See A Thing.' This is brilliant, it concludes that even someone without the ability to see can do something so great. Aside from that, the humor in it is wonderful.
All in all, Monk is the greatest superhero. Despite all of his phobias and mental disabilities, he can accomplish so much and be everyone's hero. I could go on for hours, but I get teased enough about this. Lol.
Also, we will never forget the great Dr. Charles Kroger played by Stanley Kamel.
