FOR THE WEEK OF August 15, 2008
My name is Justin. I walked into my house one day and saw my father watching television. It was the Monk marathon for Season One when it first came out. I watched it with him and instantly, it became my favorite show. I was so amazed with the writers of the show. How genius are they to come up with the cases and the way Monk solves them. Also, to Lee Goldberg, the books are phenomenal.
Being Monk Fan Of The Week would be such a great honor because he and I are similar in a way. I, too, have to have everything straight and organized. Spotless house, organized bookshelf, and even clean hands every couple hours. I'm also not too fond of heights, airplanes(flying), or darkness.
My favorite episode of Monk so far would have to be, Mr. Monk Can't See A Thing. Even though he can't see, he is still the greatest detective on the planet. Watching him balance on a beam so as not to fall six inches off the ground was also humorous to watch if I might add.
I just want to say that the writers of this show are brilliant. Natalie has been such a great addition and I wouldn't change the way the writers went about adding her to the show. Also, the Season Six two-part finale was incredible. Again to the writers, amazing job.
One last thing, Monk has inspired me to go to college and become a Crime Scene Investigator. Without the extreme O.C.D., which I love on the show, I'm striving to be a great detective. Thank you Tony Shalhoub.
Good luck with the rest of the series. As sad as it will be for Monk to end for good, I can't wait to find out the truth behind the unsolvable case of Trudy.
