FOR THE WEEK OF FEBRUARY 15, 2008
My name is Leslie and I never had the USA Network until after I moved into my new house in '07. I'd seen previews on the show Monk at other people's homes but I never expected it to be so addicting. Although I am a new Monk-o-phile I'm still on the mission to watch all the episodes and do my school work at the same time.
I always burst out singing the theme song "It's a Jungle Out There"; it represents Adrian so well. I always wanted to be a detective and Mr. Monk is a good example of "You can do anything no matter what if you put your mind to it". Monk is number one on my list of favorite shows and I can't miss a new episode!!
I love all of the characters in Monk because they all have some special to offer. The actors for the show are excellent and I can't imagine anyone playing their characters better.
I'm not as Monkish as Monk, of course, but I have plenty of phobias. Fear of spiders, natural disasters, dogs, bees, eating alone, elevators, death, being near people I'm not extremely close too, talking to others, embarrassment, and a lot more. My only obsessive-compulsive-like quirks are inspecting my food before I eat it and picking out the weird things (like black dots) in the food, touching my hair repeatedly when nervous, and decision making. I also relate personally to Monk because like him as a child/teen, I was bullied and not well liked.
I have many favorite episodes of Monk and one of them is Mr. Monk Takes Manhattan because of the ending. It was shocking and sad and it made me get emotional which is very hard to do.
I LOVE MONK !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Think you deserve the honor of "Monk Fan of the Week"?
