Monk reminds me that all people have strange idiosyncrasies. I always buckle up in the car. I check with everyone to make sure they have done the same. I can't really explain it, but I know the one time I don't is when bad things will happen to good people.
We have a saying in our family; "Did you Monk it?" which means did you check it? Sometimes we re-Monk it so that we know it was monked properly.
The other day, we were turning to corner, headed to the grocery, when my son yelled from the back seat, "Hey mom did you Monk the trash?" which literally means, did you put up the trash so the dog won't get into it? We u-turned and headed back home, where we Monked the trash, and re-Monked the front door!
We are not weird, eccentric or OCD but careful, structured, precise... just like Monk. So my question to all you Monk fans is, "Did you Monk it?" I did. And it is working just fine, thank you!
