In the bitter ongoing custody battle between Oscar-winner Halle Berry and her ex, model Gabriel Aubry, Gabriel is seeking child support and Halle is asking for permission to move to France with their daughter in an attempt to escape the paparazzi.
Custody battles can be brutal - they're not called custody tea parties, after all. And when they're played out publicly it's just that much worse. It sounds like this broken family could use some time away from the spotlight, and if France can offer that then maybe they should all move to the City of Lights. What if French-speaking Gabriel accompanied Halle and his daughter to Paris, and in exchange Halle agreed to support him there? Life abroad might be just what this family needs, giving them a chance to heal away from the prying eyes of the paparazzi.
That would truly be a victoire-victoire. (Okay, so I don't speak French, but you know what I mean.)
